On the 101st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Jananayak Shri Karpoori Thakur, Sulabh International inaugurated a state-of-the-art Menstrual Hygiene Facility at Gokhul Phuleswari Degree College, located in Karpuri Gram, Samastipur, Bihar.
This facility is designed to empower young women by training them in the manufacturing of low-cost sanitary pads, addressing menstrual hygiene inequity, and fostering long-term change in the region. The initiative reflects our commitment to promoting women’s health, hygiene, and empowerment through practical and impactful solutions.
The event was attended by several distinguished dignitaries. Shri Jagdeep Dhankar, the Hon’ble Vice President of India, served as the Chief Guest, and the facility was officially inaugurated by the Minister of State for Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Ramnath Thakur.
