Sulabh International, in collaboration with Sulabh-IIHH EIACP Resource Partner, celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2025 at Sulabh Gram, Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi. The event was held under the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” and aligned with the Government of India’s flagship initiative, Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment)—a movement that encourages individuals to adopt simple yet impactful lifestyle changes to protect the environment and improve well-being.
More than 200 participants—including working professionals, students, teachers, homemakers, and local community members—gathered to practice yoga and explore its role in achieving holistic health and sustainable living.
The session was led by esteemed yoga practitioner Dr Ravindra Kumar, who guided participants through warm-up routines and a range of yoga asanas. Alongside demonstrating the poses, he explained their physical, mental, and spiritual benefits, emphasizing how yoga helps align personal health with environmental awareness.
Dr Namita Mathur, Coordinator of Sulabh-IIHH EIACP RP, also participated in the group session. In her address, she encouraged attendees to integrate yoga into their daily routines and highlighted how such practices can contribute to Mission LiFE’s broader vision of creating a pro-planet, health-conscious society.
The event reinforced the idea that yoga is not just a form of exercise but a way of life—fostering inner peace, collective harmony, and a deeper commitment to environmental stewardship.
