Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Founder Sulabh Sanitation and Social Reform Movement, delivering "Key Note" address at the “India Sanitation Summit-2015” — a unique national level event and the 1st conference of its kind in our country organized by India CSR Group to establish a platform of brainstorming by concerned experts, stakeholders and to usher an era of change by converging attention and focus of development professionals, social scientists, politicians, organization leaders and other change agents to this much neglected issue “Sanitation for All – Toilet First”. 



“The vision of Sulabh is not only to provide toilets for all but also spread the culture of sanitation in the country”, Dr. Pathak said in his address. Briefly stating about his journey from 1968, when the sanitation scenario in the country was rather dismal, Dr. Pathak informed the audience about the `two-pit pour-flush compost toilet technology’, invented and innovated by him, Dr. Pathak informed that this technology is appropriate, economically affordable and ecologically as also culturally acceptable. It is precisely for this reason that BBC has featured the technology as one of the five unique inventions of the world. 



The summit is aligned to ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ (Clean India Initiative) of our visionary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was organized by India CSR Group at Lakshmipat Singhania Auditorium, PHD House, New Delhi.



Shri H. K. Patil, Hon'ble Minister for Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Govt of Karnataka inaugurated the Summit. Other special guests present were Shri Ajay Chaudhary IPS, OSD to L.G, Delhi, Shri Tushar Gandhi and Mr. Matteo Rizzi, Global Expertise & Authority, WASH Household Care, Unilever and Shri Rusen Kumar, Founder & Director, Dr. Rana Singh, Co-Founder, Shri Sunil Ramdass Agrawal, Patron from IndiaCSR Group.



The Summit involved some of the most reputed and competent Indian and International speakers from government and private sectors, research agencies, innovators, social scientists and thought leaders dealing in sanitation and toiletries industries in the country.
