His Excellency Mr. Sabit Subasic, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Andrés Barbé González, Ambassador of Chile, His Excellency, Mr. Georges de La Roche Du Ronzet, Ambassador of Guetemala, and His Excellency Mr. Vladimir Maric, the Ambassador of Serbia visited Sulabh Campus on 27th October, 2015. Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Founder, Sulabh Sanitation and Social Reform Movement welcomed them in a Sulabh traditional way presented shawl and garland. H.E. Ambassadors were introduced to a group of retired I.A.S. officers working in Sulabh. The guests were felicitated by putting Vermillion. They were interacted with the liberated women scavengers from Alwar, Tonk and Ghaziabad. They also met the widows from Vrindavan who are being looked after by Sulabh, and also with the Sulabh officials. They also were introduced to the women from Hirmathla village, a village declared as ‘Open Defecation Free’ village. They also interacted with the people from Madhusudankati village, West Bengal. The people from West Bengal were suffering from arsenic effect, but now are cured due to the intervention made by Dr. Pathak through Sulabh Pure Drinking Water.
After the meeting they were taken to the Sulabh Water ATM, Health Centre, Sulabh Biogas Plant, and shown the different uses of biogas in the campus, Sulabh Public School, Vocational training centre, Museum of Toilets, Research Laboratory, different models of two pit ecological toilets etc. After being shown the different activities of Sulabh International Social Service Organisation, they were taken to Assembly Hall.
