Bindeshwar Pathak, founder of Sulabh International playing holi with widows – Saiyed Faiz Hasnain

Union Minister Kalraj Mishra on Saturday said that the government is committed to improving the living conditions of widows in Varanasi and Vrindavan, and would be initiating steps to ensure their dignity and welfare in near future.

The Minister said it while speaking at a function held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Lucknow.

Mishra lauded the efforts by Bindeshwar Pathak’s Sulabh International for the welfare of widows

He added that the time had come for society to also work towards assimilation of these widows into the mainstream.

Mishra lauded the efforts by Bindeshwar Pathak’s Sulabh International for the welfare of widows and said everyone should contribute in some way or the other to ensure that the lives of these widows improved.
